Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada (in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week)

Salary: $136,000 - $160,000 CAD

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services that power Robinhood Wallet.
• Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements for cryptocurrency and tokenized stocks trading.
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate with client teams, product managers, designers, and external vendors to deliver reliable technical solutions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java with knowledge of cloud-native architectures.
• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Proven ability to simplify complex problems and drive alignment across product and engineering teams.
• Must be based in or be able to work from the Toronto, ON office.

Nice to have

• Experience working for a DeFi protocol, crypto wallet company, or blockchain-related company.
• Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts.
