Salary: $170,000 - $230,000 USD

What you will do

• Build and optimize production data pipelines using Python, SQL, Airflow, and AWS.
• Transform massive healthcare claims and EHR datasets into performant and trusted data products.
• Strengthen pipeline reliability through data quality checks, lineage, observability, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Data Product and Engineering teams to translate complex healthcare data needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor team members through design reviews and the implementation of engineering best practices.
• Integrate AI-augmented engineering tools into daily workflows to accelerate development and debugging.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Experience with healthcare datasets (claims, clinical, RWE) and coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, NDC, or NPI.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Airflow and Spark or comparable distributed data processing frameworks.
• Proven track record of designing and operating data solutions within AWS.
• Ability to effectively leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) for technical exploration and productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering external-facing data products via APIs or production serving layers.
• Expertise in optimizing high-scale data architectures for cost, performance, and versioning.
• Experience applying agentic AI workflows to engineering or data operations.
