What you will do

• Write production-level Python and SQL code for complex data transformations, pipeline logic, and analytical query optimization.
• Build and maintain large-scale data pipelines using Apache Airflow and manage ELT processes via DBT.
• Design and optimize database schemas in PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift to ensure high performance and data integrity.
• Leverage AI tools and LLMs (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to augment engineering workflows, including code generation and automated testing.
• Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and Fargate for scalable data operations.
• Identify and implement AI-driven automation to reduce manual effort in high-volume data engineering tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience as a data engineer.
• Expert-level SQL skills (optimization, schema design) and strong Python proficiency for production-grade code.
• Proven experience scaling data infrastructure and working with AWS in a production environment.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools and LLM-assisted development into the engineering workflow.

Nice to have

• Experience working with medical and pharmacy claims data.
• Knowledge of serverless architecture and hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Glue, and Fargate.
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and data governance.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience using AI tooling to automate data quality checks or accelerate ETL development.
