Senior Software Engineer (Web3)

Location: Hybrid in Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY (in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week)

Salary: $196,000 - $230,000 USD (Base pay for Zone 1)

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services that power the Robinhood Wallet.
• Develop product-facing features for high-quality trading of cryptocurrencies and tokenized stocks.
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate with client engineers, product managers, designers, and external node providers.
• Mentor other engineers and raise technical standards through design reviews and architecture discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expertise in backend development using Go, Python, or Java.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures, system design, and data modeling.
• Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals and ability to simplify complex problems.
• Must be based in or able to work from Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY offices.

Nice to have

• Experience working for a DeFi protocol, crypto wallet company, or blockchain-related entity.
• Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts.
