Salary: $205,000 - $240,000 USD

What you will do

• Re-architect manual, spreadsheet-based finance processes into scalable, auditable systems for commissions, marketing co-ops, and reconciliation.
• Establish and enforce financial accuracy standards and controls across the entire payment pipeline.
• Manage and gradually internalize accounting, controllership, AR, AP, and payroll functions.
• Direct the outsourced accounting firm's monthly close and review financial statements.
• Ensure reporting integrity for lenders, debt facilities, and leadership requests.

Requirements

• 8-12+ years in finance/accounting operations with experience building complex transaction or payment engines.
• Strong fluency in GAAP, financial controls, and the close process.
• Proven track record of building from scratch in fast-scaling startups (Series A to C stage).
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to partner with data teams on SQL-backed reconciliation.
• Must be located in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with QuickBooks, Tipalti, Airtable, Snowflake, or Hex.
• CPA certification or prior Controller title.
• Instinct for AI-enablement in finance workflows.
