What you will do

• Own the team roadmap, priorities, sequencing, and delivery planning in line with organisational goals.
• Coach engineers and applied researchers through career planning, promotions, feedback, and performance management.
• Lead hiring, headcount planning, resource allocation, and team development.
• Build a healthy, productive team culture through regular one-on-ones, conflict resolution, and team-building activities.
• Translate technical and business requirements into delivery plans while managing dependencies, risks, scope, and timelines.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Trading, Quant, Tech Leads, and Staff Engineers to deliver research and new products.

Requirements

• Strong people-leadership skills, including coaching, feedback, conflict resolution, and talent development.
• Strong project management experience covering roadmaps, dependencies, risk management, and predictable delivery.
• Technical or research background sufficient to engage credibly in technical discussions.
• Experience leading and managing the performance of applied researchers and software engineers.
• Track record of delivering applied research through a team while balancing scope, quality, and timelines.
• Must be based in Amsterdam or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.
