IT Security Administrator III

TL;DR

IT Security Administrator III (ISO 27001/PCI): Administering and enhancing enterprise information security programs, certifications, cryptographic key management, and incident response with an accent on audit readiness, compliance, and risk reduction. Focus on designing security controls, managing PKI and encryption processes, investigating vulnerabilities, and coordinating security operations across a global organization.

Location: Onsite in Bolingbrook or Chicago, Illinois, US; work includes walking throughout a light industrial facility, shop-noise exposure, some lifting, and up to 15% travel. The role requires availability for possible 24x7 security or IT emergencies and escalations.

Salary: $114,520–$130,760 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Administer and continuously improve the Information Security Management System supporting ISO 27001, PCI, cryptographic key management, and internal compliance requirements.
• Manage cryptographic keys, key management servers, symmetric and asymmetric encryption, and public key infrastructure.
• Supervise IT Security staff and coordinate internal and external logical security audits.
• Assess, report, and support remediation of vulnerabilities affecting IT systems and applications.
• Design, document, train, and test the corporate IT Security Incident Response Plan.
• Maintain security appliance configurations, firewall rule comparisons, risk assessments, training programs, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of IT or Information Security experience, preferably in financial services or a similar industry.
• CISSP and/or CISA certification required.
• Audit and compliance experience with PCI and ISO standards.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT, firewalls, intrusion detection, virtualization, encryption, VPNs, TCP/IP, Nmap, Microsoft Office, and Visio.
• Ability to communicate technical security issues and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
