Test Object Uptime Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden; full-time work eligibility in Sweden is required. Domestic and international travel to Europe, China, and the US is required, sometimes at short notice.

What you will do

• Prepare vehicles for registration and handover to users.
• Perform rebuilds, mechanical fault tracing, repairs, tire work, and wheel alignment.
• Update vehicle hardware and test vehicles based on project requests and work orders.
• Support suppliers, participate in vehicle expeditions, and secure timely deliveries with the required quality.
• Support daily workshop operations and maintain good order using 5S practices.
• Complete vehicle de-preparation after the vehicle life cycle.

Requirements

• Degree in car mechanics or extensive practical experience in vehicle mechanics.
• Preferably at least 5 years of experience as a vehicle workshop technician.
• Strong knowledge of complete vehicles, including hardware and electric vehicles.
• Valid Swedish B driver's licence and forklift licence.
• Proof of immediate, ongoing, and valid eligibility to work full time in Sweden.
• Intermediate spoken and written English, good computer skills, and a structured, self-confident approach to communication and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrical fault tracing using computers and relevant analysis tools.
• High-voltage work certificate for power-up and power-down procedures.
• Hot work certificate.
