Senior Application Analyst (Zendesk)

What you will do

• Optimize and lead the implementation of Zendesk and adjacent applications to improve efficiency.
• Drive planning, solution design, and configuration for large feature rollouts, migrations, and integrations.
• Resolve escalated technical issues and requests based on business impact.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Contribute to internal product roadmaps to increase platform usability and scalability.
• Collaborate with partner teams to clarify platform capabilities and preferred solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience administering and optimizing Zendesk for established businesses.
• Deep expertise in Zendesk configuration (Triggers, Macros, Tags, Omnichannel Routing).
• Strong familiarity with Zendesk APIs for data extraction and executing actions.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into application functionality.
• Must be based in Barcelona for a hybrid work arrangement.
• Ability to operate independently while reporting to a manager based in Seattle.

Nice to have

• Zendesk Certified Administrator or Expert certification.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
• Experience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Rovo) and Zendesk’s AI feature-set.
• Experience with M&A-driven migrations or integrations.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, SOX, or PCI.
• Experience with Agile frameworks (Kanban, Scrum) and Atlassian suite.
