Computer Assembly & IT Support Technician (Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Assemble, configure, and test desktop computers and workstations.
• Install and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems, including BIOS/UEFI and firmware updates.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral device issues.
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless network connectivity, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Perform disk management tasks and document all technical installation and repair procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to validate hardware setups and ensure quality standards.

Requirements

• Experience assembling and troubleshooting PC hardware (CPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage).
• Proficiency in installing and configuring Windows operating systems.
• Basic Linux administration skills, including command-line usage and package management.
• Familiarity with Windows CMD and PowerShell for executing basic scripts.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN).
• Must be based in or able to work in Long Island, NY to support a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or Windows domain environments.
• Knowledge of imaging and deployment tools.
• Experience in manufacturing or building custom workstations.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Linux+.
