What you will do

• Design, implement, and document scalable code adhering to SOLID principles.
• Build and maintain non-trivial APIs, backend services using Node.js, and frontend applications using React.
• Own the full software delivery lifecycle, including design, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and partner with Product Managers and UX Designers to build customer journeys.
• Review merge requests and provide technical feedback to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Utilize prompt engineering and agentic coding assistants to improve delivery productivity.

Requirements

• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.
• Proficiency in developing REST APIs and working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Must be based in the UK with full right to work; no sponsorship is provided.
• Experience with unit and integration testing and knowledge of OWASP top 10 security vulnerabilities.
• Ability to refine user stories into tasks and work effectively in a pair-programming environment.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AWS serverless or microservice architecture and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or SST).
• Contributions to Open Source projects or technical writing.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and accessibility best practices.
