Solution Engineer (IT Automation)

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for the definition, design, and delivery of warehouse automation systems, including AS/RS and Automated-Guided Vehicles (AGVs).
• Partner with site engineering and operations teams to ensure successful deployment of automation projects.
• Document business opportunities and translate them into clear system requirements and technical specifications.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the integration of automation systems with business platforms like SAP and SAP-EWM.
• Act as the 3rd level support escalation point for assigned automation systems.
• Train and educate operations team members on warehouse control systems and automation capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive IT/OT experience, with at least 3 years in Automation Systems, warehouse control software, or factory automation.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and material handling equipment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, SQL, or PLC.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically 40% - 70% of the time.
• Experience implementing software in 24/7 operational environments.
