Salary: $54,000–$63,000 per year, plus $100 in app benefits, an insurance policy, and 15 PTO days.

What you will do

• Design and build robust, scalable backend services with Node.js, NestJS, and Express.
• Create and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs for use across engineering teams.
• Implement financially correct workflows covering idempotency, reconciliation, retries, and failure states.
• Model and optimize relational data in PostgreSQL while maintaining performance and integrity.
• Make system-design decisions, own production deployments and service performance, and manage architectural trade-offs.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, mentoring, pairing, and technical discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong Node.js and NestJS expertise.
• Production experience designing and operating RESTful APIs.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with unit and integration testing, architectural patterns, and independent feature delivery.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and mentor engineers.
• Spanish and English proficiency required. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is also accepted.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Pub/Sub.
• Background in fintech, payments, or credit.
