RTW Technical Development Internship

Location: Elgin IV30, United Kingdom. The role is a 12-month contract, working 38 hours per week from Monday to Thursday, 7:00–16:00, and Friday, 7:00–11:00. Applicants must provide evidence of their right to remain and take up paid employment in the United Kingdom.

Salary: from £13.45 per hour, dependent on experience.

What you will do

• Create, document, and maintain sewing instructions and technical guides for production teams.
• Support garment construction, technical development, manufacturing methods, and production efficiency activities.
• Assist the RTW Technical Development & Training Specialist with technical and training work.
• Develop and maintain training materials, sewing standards, and best-practice documentation.
• Support training and upskilling initiatives for production colleagues.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and support adherence to construction standards.

Requirements

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Fashion Technology, Garment Technology, Textile Manufacturing, Apparel Production, or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in garment construction, sewing techniques, and apparel manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong organisational, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and production teams.
• Right to remain and take up paid employment in the United Kingdom is required.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of garment construction methods and industrial sewing processes.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of technical specifications or manufacturing work instructions.
• Practical sewing experience from education, placements, or personal projects.
