Intern, Manufacturing Engineering

Location: Brecksville, Ohio, United States; onsite at the Farris facility.

Salary: $20.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Develop and update CAD drawings for fixtures and plant layouts.
• Conduct detailed time studies for manufacturing processes.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement events and support ongoing manufacturing engineering projects.
• Perform routine analyses, design, and assembly support for Manufacturing Engineers.
• Support manufacturing cost estimates and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BA/BS degree program in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, and/or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and adapt to customers, suppliers, employees, and managers at all levels.
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment and perform work according to safety, workmanship, and housekeeping specifications.
• Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages.
• Ability to lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds may be required.
• Basic CNC programming may be performed depending on skillset.

• Ability to multitask and handle quick turnaround.
• CAD and 3D modeling experience.
• Time study experience.
