Associate, Credit Risk Operations (Underwriting)

What you will do

• Assess merchant credibility during onboarding and ongoing monitoring by verifying business information and analyzing financial statements.
• Develop credit risk recommendations that manage exposure while supporting partner growth.
• Prioritize and process applications accurately, efficiently, and in line with credit policies.
• Provide insights for onboarding strategies, pricing analysis, and product launches.
• Lead process improvements to meet team KPIs and service-level agreements.
• Provide feedback on data, tools, third-party vendors, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience in commercial credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
• Knowledge of merchant acquiring services and the payment processing industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with curiosity, urgency, and initiative.
• Comfort working with complex data and analytics to produce meaningful insights.
• Understanding of SQL is preferred.
