TL;DR
Senior Mainframe Automation Specialist (Mainframe): Managing and automating mission-critical mainframe systems for diverse clients with an accent on z/OS automation, REXX programming, and high availability. Focus on implementing disaster recovery processes, performing software transformations, and integrating mainframe environments with external tools.
Location: Must be based in South Africa (Hybrid)

What you will do
- Manage system data and provide day-to-day solutions and security compliance for clients across various industries.
- Perform z/OS automation software conversion and transformation.
- Create integrations between z/OS automation software and platforms such as z/VM, OMEGAMON, ServiceNow, and Remedy.
- Install, customize, and upgrade GDPS and implement Hyperswap.
- Develop and validate disaster recovery and high availability processes.
- Prepare software and hardware upgrades for Mainframes, z/OS, IMS, CICS, DB2, and MQ.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of automation tools such as Broadcom OPS MVS, Mainview Auto Operator, IBM AF OPER, or System Automation.
- Advanced REXX programming skills.
- Experience with GDPS installation, customization, and integration.
- Knowledge of change and incident management tools.
- Ability to communicate professionally in English or Spanish.
- Location: Must be based in South Africa.
Nice to have
- Experience in Mainframe Modernization.
- Experience integrating Mainframes with Hyperscaler solutions.
- Practical knowledge and implementation of AI.
