Sr. Security Researcher (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Senior Security Researcher (Cybersecurity): Conducting advanced security research and developing automated solutions for large-scale data collection and vulnerability discovery with an accent on adversary TTPs, honeypots, and OS internals. Focus on reproducing emerging vulnerabilities, reverse engineering, and integrating GenAI/LLM workflows into security research.

What you will do

• Develop automated solutions for collecting, processing, and analyzing data at scale, including honeypots and Internet-wide scans.
• Operate and create honeypots to identify and detect adversary TTPs.
• Perform vulnerability research and reproduce emerging vulnerabilities to provide actionable technical information.
• Collaborate with internal Intelligence teams to satisfy unique technical collection requirements.
• Publish research results on the CrowdStrike blog or at industry conferences.

Requirements

• Must be based in Germany.
• Strong information security background with 4+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience building GenAI/LLM workflows.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability research, reverse engineering tools, and techniques.
• Solid understanding of Linux and Microsoft Windows OS internals and network protocols.
• BA/BS in Information Security, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Successful participation in CTF competitions.
• Experience with mobile platforms and operating systems (Android, iOS).
• Proficiency in additional languages such as C, Rust, or Go.
• Background in Threat Intelligence.
