What you will do

• Maintain IT infrastructure components (network, security, storage, compute) ensuring designs align with established standards.
• Collaborate with application development and enterprise architecture teams to implement the product roadmap.
• Build automation and orchestration capabilities to enhance efficiency and resolve day-to-day user issues.
• Provide operational support for internal tools, system health, and customer support contracts.
• Translate complex architectural designs into operational infrastructure in collaboration with technical architects.
• Participate in an on-call support rota to provide out-of-hours support for critical infrastructure and security services.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of servers, networks, storage, and operating systems.
• Experience configuring and managing firewall rules, NAT, and security zones.
• Knowledge of access control, patching, and secure configuration best practices.
• Eligibility for security clearance+ is mandatory.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Manchester office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Awareness of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS) and their security management.
• Understanding of routing principles, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or similar languages for task automation.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies and CI/CD concepts.
• Experience with monitoring tools and incident/change management processes.
