What you will do

• Set up and operate 3/5-Axis CNC specialized optical machining centers.
• Program CNC controllers through manual data input and generate part programs using Mastercam.
• Interpret ISO blueprints and perform precise measurements to ensure workpiece conformance.
• Manage tool changes and offsets to compensate for tool wear and maintain specifications.
• Document and communicate shift actions and irregularities to ensure operational continuity.
• Collaborate with operators, management, and engineers to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• High School diploma, Trade School graduate, or G.E.D.
• At least 6 months of experience working with CNC machines in optical fabrication.
• Intermediate mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Familiarity with Windows 10, MS Office, and SAP.
• Proficiency with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gages.
• Ability to work in a clean room environment wearing full protective gear (coveralls, hoods, booties).

Nice to have

• Associate degree in machining from a vocational trade school.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or vocational certification.
• Experience with DMG, Hurco, and Siemens controls.
