TL;DR
Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Cloudflare Platform): Building and deploying production-grade applications and configurations within strategic customer infrastructures using Cloudflare’s platform, with an accent on technical architecture, operational ownership, and platform adoption. Focus on designing resilient distributed systems, responding to production incidents, integrating Cloudflare services across networking and security, and translating customer edge cases into product improvements.
Location: Hybrid, Sweden, with regular on-site presence at customer locations.
Salary: SEK 760,000–1,240,000 annually for Sweden-based hires, plus eligibility for the equity plan.

What you will do
- Embed with a strategic customer’s engineering organization as a long-term technical partner.
- Design, build, and deploy production code and configurations using ’s platform.
- Own the account’s technical success across products, serving as the primary technical contact.
- Participate in engineering rituals, design reviews, on-call activities, and real-time incident response.
- Drive adoption of services across customer technology stacks and surface product gaps to engineering.
- Build trusted relationships with Staff+ engineers, Directors, and VP-level stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade systems.
- Experience with modern languages such as TypeScript, Rust, or Golang.
- Ownership of mission-critical services, including on-call rotations, incident response, and five-nines reliability.
- Full-stack architectural fluency across frontend performance, backend systems, databases, and distributed infrastructure.
- Deep experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to design scalable architectures, navigate ambiguity, and communicate technical trade-offs to executive stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience building with Workers or the Developer Platform.
- Startup experience or prior customer-facing engineering work in a partner’s codebase.
- Open-source contributions, technical blogging, or industry conference speaking experience.
