What you will do

• Design, build, and scale React/TypeScript applications to support business growth.
• Implement technical decisions balancing business needs with security, privacy, and quality.
• Enhance existing systems to improve performance, stability, and security.
• Establish standards for accessibility and the design system.
• Reduce technical debt and advocate for high codebase standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, ML, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building web applications, including 5+ years with React.
• Proven track record of delivering small web apps or significant features independently.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid from California, New York City, or San Francisco.
• Deep expertise in using AI tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and excitement for Electron.

Nice to have

• Experience with audio playback and recording.
• Experience with file encryption.
• Experience implementing online vs. offline mode support.
