Technical Program Manager, Principal - Software Development (Aerospace)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States. U.S. citizenship, national status, permanent residency, refugee status, or asylum status is required under export control regulations.

Salary: $169,624.00–$237,473.25 annual base pay for Washington applicants; ranges may differ by site.

What you will do

• Lead the release and deployment of large-scale software systems across multiple operational sites.
• Coordinate design, development, testing, integration, and production deployment across technical teams.
• Own implementation plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, technical requirements, and release schedules.
• Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, safety, launch, maintenance, corporate, and external stakeholders.
• Define program goals, roadmaps, success criteria, KPIs, and ROI while driving organizational improvements.
• Present program updates and technical milestone progress to stakeholders, management, and executive audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of technical product or program management experience with software engineering and technology development teams.
• 7+ years working directly with engineering teams.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
• Strong technical judgment, leadership, negotiation, communication, analytical, escalation-management, and risk-management skills.
• Must meet U.S. export control eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• 5+ years managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical paths.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience defining KPIs and SLAs for large businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and data analysis.
• Track record of delivering large, cross-functional initiatives while managing competing priorities.
