Senior Software Engineer – Product Reliability Engineering (Middleware) (AI/Middleware): Building production-grade automation frameworks, agentic AI systems, and platform tooling that improve the reliability and availability of Visa's middleware products with an accent on observability, autonomous operations, and global-scale deployment. Focus on integrating LLM frameworks into monitoring and self-healing workflows, troubleshooting distributed systems, and designing resilient deployment, validation, rollback, and reporting capabilities.
Location: Singapore; hybrid position with office attendance expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager

What you will do
- Design and ship production-grade automation frameworks, tools, and platforms for 's middleware products.
- Write maintainable Python, Java, or Go code and develop modular deployment, validation, rollback, and reporting frameworks.
- Build agentic AI capabilities for monitoring, anomaly detection, self-healing, and autonomous platform operations.
- Integrate LLM frameworks, RAG pipelines, and agent frameworks into production reliability workflows.
- Improve monitoring, alerting, observability, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Coordinate releases and deployments, contribute within an Agile squad, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of relevant experience; typically 3–5 years of professional software engineering or equivalent SRE/DevOps experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Production-quality programming experience with Python, Java, or Go, with solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and monitoring or observability tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance tuning, and Linux/Unix command-line skills.
- Curiosity about GenAI and agentic systems, including OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, or related technologies.
Nice to have
- Middleware experience with Tomcat, Apache, Spring Boot, JBoss, IBM MQ, IBM DataPower, Hazelcast, Kafka, Flink, or SQS.
- AI/ML engineering experience or hands-on work with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, RAG pipelines, or production AI agents.
- Experience with event-driven and streaming architectures, networking fundamentals, open-source contributions, or a public engineering portfolio.
