Valve / Component Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Must be based in or relocate to Bordeaux, France

Developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle designed for cargo and human transport.

What you will do

• Develop test plans and procedures for solenoid isolation valve qualification, acceptance, and life testing.
• Execute functional, performance, and environmental test campaigns including cold flow, vacuum, thermal, and vibration tests.
• Operate test benches and DAQ systems to characterize response time, leak rate, and flow.
• Lead root cause analysis for test anomalies and coordinate corrective actions with design and manufacturing.
• Design and maintain propellant-compatible test fixtures and ground support equipment (GSE).

Requirements

• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 3+ years of hands-on test engineering experience with valves or fluid components.
• Experience with functional, leak, and life-cycle testing of solenoid valves.
• Proficiency with DAQ systems and instrumentation (pressure, flow, position sensors).
• Familiarity with applicable test standards such as NASA or ECSS.
• Must be able to work onsite in Bordeaux, France.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with storable/hypergolic propellant test safety practices.
