Customer Delivery Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Toulouse, Occitanie, France; hybrid. Relocation assistance to Toulouse is available when applicable.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical interface for customer satellite missions and align mission objectives with operational execution.
• Own the full mission lifecycle from requirements definition and ConOps design through launch, commissioning, on-orbit operations, anomaly triage, and optimization.
• Operate Loft spacecraft and payloads, resolving anomalies and improving mission performance across the fleet.
• Design and implement customer mission applications using Loft’s APIs and operational framework.
• Develop Python tooling and automation to improve reliability, adoption, and operational scale.
• Translate customer feedback and operational experience into product and roadmap improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in operational engineering, satellite operations, production infrastructure, backend or platform engineering, or another mission-critical environment.
• Experience with satellite operations, spacecraft commissioning, or AIT.
• Experience owning or significantly contributing to production systems operating in real-world, mission-critical environments.
• Strong Python scripting skills and experience building automation for operational systems.
• Experience with software systems, APIs, infrastructure, and Docker or similar DevOps environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with customers and cross-functional stakeholders in dynamic, high-pressure environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with spacecraft guidance and control, power, or communications subsystems.
• Experience integrating external systems into larger operational architectures.
• Experience with configuration languages such as CUE.
• Experience translating real-world product usage and feedback into system or tooling improvements.
• Experience working with international or cross-cultural teams.
