What you will do
- Lead the design and development of solenoid isolation valves from concept through qualification.
- Define valve architecture, including poppet/seat design, actuation mechanisms, and sealing concepts.
- Design and analyze solenoid actuators, including coils, armatures, and magnetic circuits.
- Select materials and seal designs compatible with storable propellants to ensure low leakage.
- Define and support verification plans and qualification campaigns in collaboration with test engineers.
- Coordinate with manufacturing engineers to ensure design manufacturability and testability.
Requirements
- B.S. in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering.
- Hands-on experience designing valves or electromechanical fluid components for space or aerospace applications.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA, NX, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of sealing technology and propellant compatibility.
- Familiarity with NASA, ECSS, or equivalent valve qualification standards.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Bordeaux, France.
