Advanced Power BI Engineer (Power BI)

Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada; hybrid with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office

Salary: CAD 52,000–58,000 per year, plus incentive pay

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy user-friendly, visually impactful Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Translate business requirements into navigation flows, wireframes, reporting interfaces, and actionable KPIs.
• Use Power BI native and GenAI/ML analysis features to turn data into business insights.
• Connect and refresh data from multiple sources using Power BI gateways and M scripting.
• Write complex DAX statements, use R for data manipulation and analysis, and work with large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Manage row-level security and report and workspace access while serving as the Power BI subject matter expert for the Technology Infrastructure team.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience with the Microsoft BI Stack.
• At least two years of Power BI reporting experience.
• Comprehensive design experience and familiarity with tools such as Photoshop.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to analyze stakeholder requirements, understand customer needs, and convert them into deliverables.
