What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications for real-time systems.
• Contribute to software architecture, coding, testing, and verification activities.
• Integrate software with hardware platforms and wider system architectures.
• Debug and optimize software performance across various target environments.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and design artefacts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems, electronics, and test engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing embedded software using C and/or C++.
• Experience working with Linux-based or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Strong understanding of software architecture and lifecycle development processes.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical military background.
• Eligible and willing to obtain SC security clearance.
• Ability to work on-site in Plymouth 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
• Knowledge of sensor integration and data processing applications.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience in requirements-driven engineering environments.
