What you will do

• Refactor and simplify production Python codebases to enhance readability, maintainability, and performance.
• Design and organize reusable logic into modular, testable Python packages and services.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and regression testing suites.
• Improve observability and monitoring of data pipelines through logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Automate repetitive development and deployment tasks to increase engineering efficiency.
• Produce clear technical documentation for architecture, operational processes, and business rules.

Requirements

• English: C1 or higher (mandatory)
• Location: Must be based in Brazil
• Strong experience with Python and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Proven track record of refactoring and modernizing existing production systems.
• Experience designing maintainable, modular, and reusable Python applications.
• Solid understanding of Git workflows, code reviews, and automated testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with production data pipelines or forecasting systems.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or Azure cloud services.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Experience migrating notebook-based workflows into production-grade Python applications.
