Software Engineer, Entry-Level (Embedded Systems)

Location: Hybrid in San Jose, California; on-site three days per week

Salary: $142,000–$169,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

End-to-end space systems provider designing, building, and operating low Earth orbit satellite constellations for mission-critical Earth intelligence.

What you will do

• Own code for new software capabilities supporting ground and space systems.
• Propose and iterate on software component designs.
• Write tests and monitoring to validate code correctness.
• Conduct technical analysis supporting development and testing.
• Learn new technologies and techniques while communicating clearly and delivering work on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, computational mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, TypeScript, or a similar high-level programming language.
• Coursework or relevant experience in operating systems, algorithms, data structures, physics, and statistics.
• Must work on-site in the San Jose office three days per week.
• Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining authorization.

Nice to have

• Embedded software, network protocols, hardware or software testing, FPGA programming, or GPU programming experience.
• Experience with satellites, robots, autonomous systems, or technical project teams.
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics, mathematical optimization, machine learning, signal processing, or advanced algorithms.
• Experience with cloud environments and distributed systems.
