TL;DR
CT-MTSS Engineering Lead (AI): Leading the engineering team for ClearTrack and MTSS Edge products with an accent on legacy platform modernization and people leadership. Focus on designing software architecture, improving CI/CD pipelines, and integrating AI-assisted development workflows.
Location: Hybrid in Rochester, New York. Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.
Salary: $105,000 - $155,000

What you will do
- Lead, coach, and mentor software engineers through regular one-on-ones, performance feedback, and career development.
- Drive the modernization of ClearTrack and MTSS Edge platforms while ensuring stability for existing customers.
- Contribute directly to software architecture, design, development, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting.
- Enhance engineering practices by improving CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, automation, and observability.
- Partner with Product, UX, QA, and CloudOps teams to prioritize work and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Champion and measure the adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the engineering lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership and people management.
- Strong background in software architecture, legacy application modernization, and enterprise application development.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs, web applications, relational databases, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab) and cloud-hosted application environments.
- Strong understanding of secure software development, OAuth 2.0, and API security.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL.
- Experience adopting or leading AI-assisted software development workflows.
