What you will do

• Design and maintain hybrid Azure Government network architecture connecting cloud services, on-premises systems, and remote users.
• Engineer private connectivity using Azure ExpressRoute, site-to-site VPN, and redundant gateways.
• Implement secure network segmentation using NSGs, ASGs, and Azure Firewall policies based on least-privilege principles.
• Manage Azure Private DNS zones, Private Endpoints, and Private Link for secure platform service access.
• Develop network infrastructure as code (IaC) using Bicep, Terraform, and PowerShell.
• Support RMF and NIST cybersecurity compliance by producing technical evidence and maintaining security-rule registers.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance is required
• Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6-8 years).
• Extensive experience with Azure virtual networks, VNET peering, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, IPsec, DNS, and high-availability design.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and controlled deployment pipelines.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and RMF requirements.

Nice to have

• Certifications: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, or Cisco CCNP.
• Experience with Azure Government or DoD cloud impact-level environments.
• Skill in Python, Linux, and Bash scripting for automation.
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, or Fortinet network virtual appliances in Azure.
