What you will do

• Act as an embedded legal advisor for product, design, and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Provide guidance on AI-driven functionality, safety initiatives, and emerging AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act).
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international laws governing advertising, intellectual property, and consumer protection.
• Collaborate on privacy-by-design reviews and regulatory compliance for data practices.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including technology licensing, SaaS, and vendor contracts.
• Guide product launches into new international markets by coordinating with local counsel.

Requirements

• Admission to practice law in New York (or in-house eligibility).
• Law degree from a top accredited law school.
• 3+ years of experience in technology, consumer products, or privacy law.
• Proven experience supporting product, design, or engineering teams in a consumer tech environment.
• Must be based in New York City to comply with the hybrid work policy.
• Fluency in using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) for workflow efficiency.

• Experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial and SaaS contracts.
