TL;DR
Senior Buyer/Planner (Medtech): Managing direct material inventory and safety stock for production needs with an accent on MRP optimization and supplier performance. Focus on utilizing Oracle for demand planning, reducing costs, and leading supply chain improvement initiatives.
Location: On-site in Pawtucket, RI. No relocation offered. No immigration sponsorship (H1B, TN, STEM, OPT, etc.) provided.
Salary: $95,500 - $115,000

What you will do
- Manage inventory levels and safety stock of direct materials using Oracle and MRP.
- Plan and place purchase orders based on cost, lead time, and ECO changes.
- Forecast future demand and publish supplier forecasts to prevent production delays.
- Collaborate with Commodity Management to identify cost reductions and improve buying patterns.
- Lead supply chain initiatives and internal improvement projects.
- Oversee vendor returns, including tracking inventory and maintaining documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 7 years of buying/planning experience (preferred).
- Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments such as Medical, Aerospace, or Nuclear.
- Proficiency in MRP systems (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read and interpret Auto/CAD drawings.
- English: Advanced proficiency required.
