Salary: $195,400–$358,300 USD annually, including base salary and applicable annual bonus.

What you will do

• Own significant systems and features from design through production operation.
• Break down ambiguous, high-scope technical problems and drive them to shipped outcomes.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, correctness, and cost efficiency of owned systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners on cross-team initiatives.
• Establish engineering patterns and quality standards that improve team effectiveness.
• Use AI agents and AI-assisted development for design, investigation, and implementation.

Requirements

• Strong track record of owning and shipping systems at scale.
• Command of system design, data modeling, and reliability and cost tradeoffs.
• Ability to lead ambiguous work to clear outcomes.
• Current fluency with AI-assisted development.
• High standards for quality and strong ownership.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup in San Francisco, United States.
