Salary: €82,988–€99,586 in Spain, plus Restricted Stock Units.

What you will do

• Manage the physical Metal environment from bare metal through Kubernetes.
• Build and operate storage, networking, and Kubernetes resources in new environments outside public cloud infrastructure.
• Manage load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, cross-cluster communication, routing protocols, and network architecture.
• Manage Kubernetes scheduling and autoscaling.
• Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules, including provider compatibility and versioning.
• Work with Grafana Cloud application teams to understand platform needs and prioritize capabilities.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience building and operating platform infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Experience with datacenter environments and physical infrastructure.
• Experience operating production code and participating in an on-call rotation.
• Proficiency with Go, Python, and Shell in platform engineering contexts.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cluster networking, infrastructure automation, or related platform technologies.
• Must be located in the UK, Spain, or Ireland to work remotely.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cluster API, Tinkerbell, Talos, or Ceph.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and managed Kubernetes services such as EKS, GKE, or AKS.
• Experience with Tanka, Jsonnet, Karpenter, Terraform, or Crossplane.
• Open-source or community-based project experience.
