What you will do

• Profile source and target data before, during, and after large-scale migrations.
• Define, document, and execute data quality rules against business and regulatory requirements.
• Validate accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and uniqueness across migrated datasets.
• Write and run MySQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to test large datasets.
• Document findings, communicate technical issues to stakeholders, and provide remediation feedback to data engineers.
• Champion data quality across the project team and support BI dashboard testing.

Requirements

• Professional experience in QA testing for large-scale data migrations, preferably within the public sector.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Understanding of data transformations, ETL workflows, and migration processes.
• Experience with data quality tools such as Great Expectations, Microsoft Purview, or YData-Profiling.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• SC and NPPV3 security clearance are essential; applicants must have lived in the UK for five consecutive years or more.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Oracle or other relational databases.
• Experience with case management or enterprise systems.
