What you will do

• Apply software updates, perform technology upgrades, and install new software.
• Deploy and maintain Apache Tomcat-based web applications across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor database metrics, investigate performance and backup issues, and troubleshoot incidents using Oracle diagnostic tools.
• Provide professional technical support and innovative solutions to more than 100 customers.
• Collaborate with Networks, UNIX, Cloud Operations, and wider IT support teams.
• Identify automation and process improvements that increase customer outcomes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience managing Oracle databases, including upgrades in single-instance environments.
• Experience installing and maintaining software on Solaris, Linux, or Windows Server.
• Experience troubleshooting performance issues with STATSPACK, OCI Analytics, or comparable Oracle tools.
• Experience with direct customer communication by video, telephone, and email.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes and tools such as ServiceNow or Ivanti.
• Existing UK right to work and travel, eligibility for UK Security Clearance, and successful vetting and reference checks are required.

Nice to have

• Apache Web Server, Microsoft IIS, Unix shell scripting, Ansible, and scripted database backup and recovery experience.
• Knowledge of network architecture.
• Oracle certification.
