Systems Administrator (Associate) (Kubernetes)

Location: Hybrid role in Basingstoke, United Kingdom; office attendance expectations will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

What you will do

• Support critical applications and maintain the stability of production services.
• Deploy, configure, scale, and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Build automation and self-service patterns, including templates, scripts, and infrastructure-as-code modules for experimentation and production GenAI workloads.
• Perform root cause analysis, remediation, vulnerability assessment, and patch management.
• Partner with Platform, Engineering, Delivery, and application teams to provide infrastructure support and promote operational best practices.
• Maintain operational procedures and follow ITIL practices for incident, change, problem, and release management, including on-call support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux system administration and container technologies.
• Scripting and automation experience, preferably with Python.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, configuration management tools, networking concepts, and software engineering methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and independent working skills; availability for scheduled on-call support.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Helm, kubeadm, Sysdig, Prometheus, Grafana, or FluentD.
• Understanding of ITIL v4 processes and experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
