JS SDK Engineer (TypeScript)

What you will do

• Build and evolve JS/TS SDKs, identifying gaps and implementing new features.
• Maintain public repositories, triage issues, and manage community contributions.
• Design and implement robust type experiences to ensure correct autocomplete and inference.
• Ensure compatibility across various runtimes including Node, Deno, Bun, and browsers.
• Develop and optimize realtime capabilities using WebSockets.
• Create public-facing RFCs, migration guides, and documentation.

Requirements

• Expert-level TypeScript proficiency, including generics and conditional types.
• Experience authoring and maintaining published libraries with public APIs and external consumers.
• Proven track record in open-source maintenance, issue triage, and community management.
• Fluency in npm packaging, including ESM/CJS builds and semver discipline.
• Strong written communication skills for async and public-facing environments.
• Ability to work autonomously within a globally distributed team.
