Salary: $93,600–$156,000 annual base salary, plus a 12.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do
- Elucidate structures of pharmaceutical small molecules, peptides, degradation products, and impurities using high-resolution mass spectrometry.
- Serve as a mass spectrometry subject matter expert in collaboration with NMR, purification, analytical, and organic chemistry specialists.
- Provide technical and strategic input to support efficient and timely pharmaceutical development deliverables.
- Investigate innovative mass spectrometry approaches and use digital tools to improve workflows.
- Prepare technical documentation and communicate findings through external publications and presentations.
Requirements
- Degree in chemistry or an equivalent field with relevant mass spectrometry experience: 9–11 years for B.S./M.S., 7–8 years for MBA/MS, or 0–3 years for a Ph.D.
- Strong understanding of mass spectrometry theory and applications, including structural elucidation of small molecules and/or peptides.
- Fundamental knowledge of organic chemistry and experience with HRMS systems, particularly Thermo Orbitrap instruments.
- Familiarity with MS data analysis software such as Thermo Freestyle, ACD/Labs, BioPharma Finder, and Protein Metrics.
- Ability to conduct independent problem-solving and research, with strong communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with peptide or proteomics applications and complex drug product formulations.
- Knowledge of ionization sources, mass analyzers, detectors, and fragmentation mechanisms.
- Experience with Thermo, Bruker, Xcalibur, DataAnalysis, MassLynx, or related MS processing systems.
- Interest in learning new technologies and scientific concepts.
