Senior Blockchain Engineer

Ondo builds infrastructure for Real World Asset (RWA) tokenization across DeFi ecosystems. Small remote-first team; early hire opportunity with experienced alumni and backing from top crypto investors.

Applicants must be based in PT, MT, CT, or ET time zones.

Responsibilities:

- Architect end-to-end smart contract systems for new chain deployments, DeFi interoperability, and protocol features.
- Own contract lifecycle security, including upgrade safety, admin controls, and operational guardrails.
- Build tooling and automation so non-technical teammates can safely view, monitor, and manage on-chain state.
- Integrate smart contract design with web, product, legal, compliance, and operations teams.
- Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert for blockchain projects.

Requirements:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5+ years software engineering experience.
- 3+ years in blockchain engineering, ideally on a DeFi protocol live on multiple chains.
- Strong competency with Solidity.
- Demonstrated ability to design systems (tooling, automation, lifecycle security, integrations).
- Python and/or TypeScript experience preferred.

Nice to have:

- Exposure to non-EVM smart contract languages (particularly Solana).
