Medical Affairs Scientist (Amyloidosis)

What you will do

• Act as the primary scientific point of contact for healthcare professionals (HCPs), medical societies, and regulators in Japan.
• Execute customer-facing medical plans to address unmet medical needs and fill data gaps in the assigned therapeutic area.
• Maintain high scientific standards in all external communications and internal medical strategies to enhance safe and efficacious product use.
• Handle Unsolicited Medical Requests (UMR) and provide unbiased, high-quality scientific information.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align product life cycle strategies and develop medical education programs.
• Ensure strict compliance with MHLW guidelines and company safety reporting policies.

Requirements

• Must be based in Japan (Field-based role)
• Education: Master's degree in Life Science, Pharmacist license, or MD/PhD.
• Language: Proficiency in both English and Japanese for professional scientific interactions.
• Experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
• Deep pharmaceutical/medical knowledge of the specific therapeutic disease area.
• Strong ability to build collaborative scientific relationships with external stakeholders.
