What you will do

• Supervise daily trading across equities, fixed income, FX, and securities lending in accordance with CIRO and CSA rules.
• Monitor trading conduct to ensure adherence to best execution obligations and prevent manipulative or deceptive practices.
• Enhance supervisory effectiveness through automation, data analytics, and improved surveillance scenarios.
• Manage relationships with Canadian and global execution venues, including exchanges and liquidity providers.
• Oversee supplier risk management, including onboarding and monitoring SLAs for desk vendors.
• Maintain strong governance frameworks and provide reporting on supervision metrics to senior management.

Requirements

• Must have current work authorization for Canada.
• University degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Trader or in Compliance oversight.
• CSC (Canadian Securities Course), CPH (Conduct and Practices Handbook), and TTC (Trader Training Course) certifications.
• Strong knowledge of CIRO Dealer Member and UMIR rules.
• Deep understanding of trading and market structure for equity, fixed income, and FX markets.

Nice to have

• OLC (Options Licensing Course) or DFC (Derivatives Fundamentals).
• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CIM (Chartered Investment Manager) designations.
