TL;DR

Software Architect (AI/ML): Designing and implementing cloud-native AI agents and agentic architectures for PDM and PLM workflows with an accent on tool-use, orchestration, and scalability. Focus on building production-ready LLM systems, implementing MCP-based patterns, and establishing evaluation and observability standards.

Salary: $188,000 – $275,000 CAD

What you will do

• Architect and build scalable, secure cloud-native services and Agentic AI workflows for production.
• Own the GenAI/ML architecture for production agentic systems, including tool-use, orchestration, state/memory, and routing.
• Standardize tool/context integrations across internal systems using MCP-based patterns.
• Establish evaluation and observability standards, including regression tests, monitoring, and feedback loops.
• Set technical direction via reference architectures, best practices, and hands-on technical guidance.
• Partner with Product, Security/Privacy, and Engineering leaders to deliver high-impact features.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience building cloud-native software in production (distributed systems, APIs, data-intensive services).
• 4+ years of experience delivering AI/ML-powered systems in production.
• Experience with LLM-based systems (RAG, MCP, Agent workflows, fine-tuned models).
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java with strong engineering fundamentals.
• Strong communication skills to explain tradeoffs clearly and influence decisions.

Nice to have

• Deep experience designing AI evaluation pipelines and production release strategies.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and modern platform practices (containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Experience in PLM/PDM, manufacturing, CAD, or enterprise workflow software.
• Open-source contributions, publications, or talks related to distributed systems or GenAI.
