Head of Immunodiagnostics and Next Generation Technology (Immunology)

Location: Hybrid role; must live within commuting distance of Pearl River, New York

Salary: $176,600 – $294,300 per year

What you will do

• Drive high-throughput, automated LBA strategies as alternatives to traditional plate-based assays.
• Lead a high-performing team of scientists, including the management of subordinate managers.
• Oversee assay development projects for serological, immunodiagnostic, and toxicological purposes.
• Identify and integrate new diagnostic platforms via in-licensing or in-house development.
• Author technical documents, validations, and regulatory responses for vaccine program teams.
• Ensure laboratory operations comply with hirify.global values, SOPs, and GCLP/cGMP standards.

Requirements

• PhD in Immunology or a related biological field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in advanced tool/assay development and technology implementation.
• Experience managing other managers and mentoring junior scientists.
• Deep expertise in robotic sample handling, Design of Experiments (DoE), and biostatistical analysis.
• Expert knowledge of analytical/clinical validations under GCLP/cGMP guidelines.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided).

Nice to have

• Experience leveraging AI or machine learning for laboratory automation and data analysis.
• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
