What you will do

• Lead technical execution of live and hybrid events, ranging from small executive presentations to company-wide broadcasts.
• Operate professional production systems including video switchers, audio consoles, camera systems, and streaming encoders.
• Build and manage technical run-of-shows, including cue sheets, source lists, and rehearsal schedules.
• Manage the end-to-end event intake process, translating stakeholder goals into equipment and staffing plans.
• Perform preventative maintenance and recurring room sweeps to ensure constant readiness of event spaces.
• Partner with internal communications and workplace teams to coordinate lead times and event expectations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AV operations, live event production, or technical event support.
• Proven experience owning the technical side of live productions end-to-end.
• Working fluency across event audio, video, camera, and streaming systems.
• Ability to serve as a calm and capable technical partner to executives and event producers.
• Location: Must be based in San Francisco, CA and work onsite 5 days per week.
• Availability for occasional evening and early-morning coverage around major events.

Nice to have

• Experience with Q-SYS DSP platform and audio/video routing designs.
• Proficiency with PTZ and professional multi-camera workflows.
• Expertise in live streaming protocols such as RTMP, SRT, and HLS.
• Understanding of AV-over-IP network fundamentals including multicast, VLANs, and QoS.
• Experience using Jira for ticketing and intake workflow management.
