AV Production Specialist (AI)

Location: San Francisco HQ; in-office 5 days per week. Occasional evening and early-morning coverage is expected, along with 4–6 weeks of annual travel for distributed event support.

Annual salary: $285,000–$325,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the technical execution of live and hybrid events, executive presentations, all-hands meetings, and broadcasts.
• Operate video switchers, audio consoles, camera systems, playback systems, and streaming encoders.
• Build run-of-show plans, cue sheets, source lists, rehearsal schedules, and backup plans.
• Lead contractors and onsite technicians while communicating risks and resolutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage event intake, technical scoping, staffing, scheduling, and coverage across the AV Operations team.
• Perform preventative maintenance, room sweeps, equipment testing, and production documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in AV operations, live event production, or technical event support.
• End-to-end ownership of live productions, with working fluency across event audio, video, camera, and streaming systems.
• Ability to diagnose production issues and serve as a calm technical partner to executives and event producers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work onsite at the San Francisco headquarters 5 days per week.
• Availability for occasional evening and early-morning event coverage and 4–6 weeks of annual travel.

Nice to have

• Technical direction for corporate broadcasts, conferences, or multi-camera productions.
• Experience with Q-SYS DSP, PTZ and professional camera systems, and multi-camera workflows.
• Experience with Google Meet, Zoom Rooms, hybrid meeting technology, and live streaming protocols including RTMP, SRT, and HLS.
• Knowledge of AV-over-IP networking, including multicast, VLANs, QoS, and bandwidth management.
• Experience coordinating AV contractors, integrators, and event labor.
