What you will do

• Direct live news programming across broadcast, social, and digital platforms.
• Build and execute show rundowns with producers and editorial teams, integrating video, graphics, studio elements, and music.
• Lead technical crews, including technical directors, audio operators, graphics operators, and camera operators.
• Collaborate on visual presentation, lighting, camera placement, set design, and broadcast graphics.
• Plan and execute field and remote productions, including technical planning and site surveys.
• Lead breaking news, special productions, and high-profile live events while reviewing broadcasts and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience directing live television, preferably in a major-market newsroom.
• Expertise directing complex live news broadcasts in a traditional control room, including breaking news and special events.
• Proficiency with iNEWS, Vizrt, and standard broadcast production systems.
• Strong communication, multitasking, prioritization, and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep knowledge of current events and the U.S. political landscape, with experience in both studio and remote productions.
