What you will do
- Create guidelines and tools to ensure compliance with accessibility standards for designers and developers.
- Define design requirements and accessibility strategies for game and web products.
- Perform accessibility reviews and audits on features, games, and web applications.
- Manage photosensitive epilepsy flash rate testing and provide training.
- Collaborate with UX researchers to gather data and translate user feedback into actionable design improvements.
- Educate product teams on accessibility best practices and remediate identified issues.
Requirements
- 5+ years of UX design experience and 3+ years specifically in accessibility.
- Expert knowledge of inclusive design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG, WAI-ARIA, Section 508 C).
- Proficiency with UI prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience with assistive technologies, including screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) and keyboard navigation.
- Familiarity with core game design technologies such as Unity and Unreal.
- Experience with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS) and task management tools like JIRA.
Nice to have
- Experience designing across various platforms (mobile, PC, console).
- Strong understanding of interaction modalities (controller, keyboard, mouse).
